Benefit Time
Paid Holidays - 14 paid holidays per year.
Personal time - 2 days per year. Unused time may be rolled over into vacation time.
Vacation
Up to 12 days per year for up to 3 years of service.
Up to 15 days per year for 3 to 6 years of service.
Up to 24 days per year for greater than 6 years of service.
Sick time
For the first year of service - up to 6 days per year.
Up to 2 years of service - up to 9 days per year.
For greater than 2 years of service - up to 12 days per year.
Note: Employees may convert up to 4 days of sick time into personal time with 72 hours notice.

Benefits Your benefit package is an important addition to your compensation package. At The Arc of Blackstone Valley we put a lot of effort into providing a comprehensive benefits plan that will offer real value to you as a full or part time employee. The following is a brief summary of the benefits that will be available to you.
Health Insurance - All full time employees are eligible for health insurance benefits on the first of the month following 90 days of full time employment. Employee co-pays can be paid on a pre-tax basis through our premium conversion plan.
Cash Incentive Program- If you are eligible for the health plan, and have duplicate coverage through another health plan, you may choose to waive your coverage, and receive a cash incentive instead.
Dental Insurance -This is provided to all full time employees on the first of the month following 90 days of full time employment. Employee co-pays can be paid a pre-tax basis through our premium conversion plan.
Life Insurance - This is provided to all full time employees on the first of the month following 30 days of full time employment. Coverage is paid for by the employer in an amount equal to approximately two times your annual salary.
Reimbursement Accounts - All full time employees are eligible for voluntary coverage on the first of the month following 90 days of full time employment. These accounts allow you to set aside a fixed dollar amount to pay for either healthcare or dependent care with pre-tax dollars.
Short term Disability - All full time employees are eligible for voluntary participation on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. This is designed to compliment the Rhode Island Temporary Disability Income provided in the event that you are unable to work for a short period of time due to illness.
Long term Disability -All full time employees are eligible for voluntary coverage on the first of the month following 30 days of full time employment. This is designed to replace a portion of your income for an extended period of time if illness or accident prevents you from returning to work after a waiting period.
Cancer Insurance - All full time employees are eligible for voluntary coverage on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
Tax Sheltered Annuity- A 403(b) plan is available to employees upon hire. This allows any full or part time employee to begin saving toward a retirement fund with pre-tax dollars.
Pension - A percentage of your annual salary is deposited into an account where you designate the investment options that will best suit your retirement needs. You must be at least 21 years old, be employed on January 1st, work a minimum of 1000 hours, and still be employed on December 31st of the same year to be eligible for this benefit.
